I finally got to coloring this piece. This has been the most heinous painting I've ever undertaken. Much Respect for layer by layer painters... cuz this pieces is LIKE AN UNION. haha. Not finished yet but getting there... just a bit more and the race is WILL BE DONE!!!! rawr.

Started to add the basis for colors. I'm using a layered process... which is not unusual... though I can name one way, which uses channels, I use a different method. Basic color down first, layer for each area of that same color. Then, I start to build on that layer using another layer on top... or paint directly on that layer. My previous painting was a single layer, then doing modifications on a different layer, then if I'm happy, merge the layers. Wash, rinse, repeat. This time I'm being deliberately more methodical and cautious... but yet using that method. It's wierd mixing cartoon disney style and my somewhat anime influence (my other influence is comics).

Doing this as a request for a birthday present...

Ah Tinkerbell... my interpretation is a little less than the original (obviously for my own style)... but I do like her position and the flower she is sitting in (on)... still in the process.
